Keota Educational Foundation Golf Tournament

The tenth annual Keota Educational Foundation golf tournament was held on June 7, 2009. Inclement weather undoubtedly held down attendance, as it rained until nearly tee off time. Twenty two teams braved the weather and were rewarded with a beautiful day and fast paced tournament.

Along with nearly $700 in flight winnings many prizes were given out including rib-eye steaks, tickets to the Iowa/Iowa State football game, an overnight stay at the Riverside Casino and many door prizes and gift certificates.

Winning the tournament was the team of Hill, Bennett and Sigler.

Winner of the football tickets was Carl Sigler and the overnight stay at Riverside was won by Dave Hymen.

Even with attendance down a bit, net proceeds topped $4,000. ($4,176.76)
